Hydro Extractors
The commercial hydro extractor is the indispensable complement to complete the wash process with low spin commercial laundry washing machines. By spinning the laundry at very high speed, 1500 rpm (in excess of 530G), time and energy is saved in the industrial hydro extractors drying process so there is less wear on the laundered items. The clothes can also be introduced with a low level of residual moisture to a commercial drying ironer so that the laundry is then dried and pressed in a single step, again reducing time and energy. Industrial hydro extractors give you major reductions in drying times, energy consumption and vastly increasing the laundry productivity outputs, these are achieved by the implementation of an industrial hydro extractor.

Hydro Extractors
The hydro extractor is probably one of the simplest and most effective developments in the commercial laundry market. It will almost never have a use in the domestic market but in the commercial market it is often an invaluable tool. The system is simple and logical and has been developed to remove the requirement for long drying cycles in the Tumble Dryer which are not only time consuming but very expensive in energy costs.
The hydro extractor is basically a drum mounted vertically which can usually take loads of 9 or 15kg at a time. Unlike the slow spinning washing machine these machines are built to spin at 1500 rpm and this removes the water quickly and effectively. The aim of the machine is to produce the finished washing so that it is virtually damp dry. If this is achieved and combined with a good ironing machine there can be a one press process that will not only iron the washing to the correct level but leave the washing totally dry. The advantages of this process are very obvious and there are a good many operations that can be fully carried out by this process.
There have to be a number of considerations on this process as the units still take fairly small loads if drying from a 120 kg washing machine and there will need to be an operator tied to the machine for some time. The time cycles are generally quite small and usually range from 1 to 15 minutes. This means that they are being loaded and unloaded on a semi-continual basis.
Most of these machines, because they are high powered machines, have been designed to run off of a three phase electrical supply so that has to be available or otherwise installed. In some cases it is certainly more sensible to use a tumble dryer which will cope with the full load and which can be further dealt with when time allows. Ideally you would want to deal with damp washing reasonably quickly.
However the hydro extractor does present the laundry with a very good option if it fits their type of operation as the reduction of the time of the processing cycle is large and the energy savings are very large and will reduce the costs of the process enormously.
