Soap Injection Systems

It is interesting to see the effort now being placed into the soap injection systems of the large commercial laundry suppliers. Detergents have always been important but the chemical manufacturers have long had experience that could be translated into the washing processes that still had not been fully exploited. The demands of the laundry customers and the environmental demands have made this requirement far more important and it is now one of the major efforts of the manufacturer, user and the supplier.

The suppliers have changed from being units that just supply a washing machine or an ironing machine according to customer’s requirements, suppliers like Laundry 365 have developed a full advisory service to cover everything from design to processing. We have also been working with the chemical suppliers to develop our own soap injection system called Laundry Pro that will inject the correct amounts of product where it is required in the appropriate quantities. This dispensing system is very flexible and easy to use and that is the key to most soap injection or dispensing systems.

The demands of the commercial laundry is such that there are so many washing permutations dependent on the type of material of the product washed and also the state of the product to be washed when it reaches the machine. To cope with this the chemical manufacturers have developed a full range of detergents to cover most of the materials which will be dealt with in a typical commercial facility. The range starts with the typical Blue bio or non-bio liquid detergents for the normal washes, the next range is the Blue Boost which is meant to deal with heavier soiling by giving an alkali boost.

The stained washes have always required a different product and the Blue de-stainer which has hydrogen peroxide for coloured materials and sodium hypochlorite for whites. Whites seem to be the culprit for calling every detergent blue as the blue chemicals fluoresce when in the light and they fluoresce a white light so that everything looks whiter. The development of these items changed the modern washing systems when they first appeared. The Blue exterminator products are probably the biggest design change as these are aimed at MRSA and bacteria killing and repelling, often with an anti-static rinse for final protection.

Whatever is required care needs to be taken in the correct choice but a multi soap injection system will enhance the working process immensely.
