Laundry 365 – Wet Cleaning – basic needs.
Washing Machine (with wet-cleaning option) - Typically 18kg+ Capacity, ideally stainless steel drum, Electric Heat. Wet Cleaning options can be factory-fitted and equipment can be ‘programmed’ on site to meet specific requirements, for example a wash programme for Silk, Suits, Curtains would all need different parameters and special programmes. Best options would include the ability to specify the actual weight of each load and have the equipment automatically make the adjustment regarding the amount of water/chemicals required to provide the most effective wash. Laundry 365 recommend Domus High Spin (DHS range) Washing machines with a microprocessor programming option.
Tumble Dryer (with residual moisture sensor option) - Ideally 18kg+ Dryer with the ability to specify residual moisture % and to stop the cycle before laundry items are too dry to process. Laundry 365 would recommend an environmentally friendly option which is double insulated for cost-effective operation and which is the quietest and equipment in the world. Laundry 365 are currently recommending equipment that keeps heat recirculating – so the outside feels cool to the touch and there is no wasted energy. Laundry 365 recommend Domus (DTP ECO range) Tumble Dryers with the ECO options.
Chemical Supplies (as required) - Laundry 365 work with suppliers of top quality chemicals and can supply as required (best ordering quantities to be agreed)
Steam Spotting Table - Many stains cannot be removed without a steam gun and there are many others where using a steam gun will make removal easier. In addition to a steam gun, the equipment should also have hot-air drying as this will increase spotting production rates by around 50%. A comprehensively equipped table should have:
- A high-pressure water spray
- A steam gun
- An air gun with hot air
- A robust working surface, to reduce noise when tamping (glass topped tables are ideal but they are expensive).
To get the best from a steam gun, it should allow users to regulate the steam. Some stains should be heated gently rather than blasted with full pressure steam. Note, the steam gun is normally supplied with compressed air and provides hot-air drying. Getting rid of stains is as important to customers as the cleaning and the way a garment is finished.
Ironing Table - A good solid Ironing table is useful, an existing Ironing Table may used until the amount of items being processed demands bigger and better.
Trouser Topper* - Typically treatment for creased or non-creased trousers, waistband tensioner prevents shrinkage.
Tensioning Finisher* - Suitable for Jackets, Blazers and Shirts this tensioning finisher is an essential component for both Wet and Dry-cleaning.
Note: Items marked * are essential components for wet cleaning, others are optional.
